Classified environment

A classified environment is a system or facility accredited to process information classified under Executive Order 13526 (Confidential, Secret, or Top Secret). Such environments enforce physical security, personnel clearances, approved hardware and software, and strict controls on moving data across classification boundaries. Developer tools used there must be approved for that environment, and tools that depend on a public cloud service generally cannot be used unless an accredited deployment of that service exists.
